In one of our Good to Know series related to health benefits of blackcurrant we pointed out those berries were filled with vitamins such as beta carotene, E, C (more than 200% of daily intake norm), B1, B2, B3 (or PP), B5, B6, B9 and H. We also pointed out that blackcurrants were also good source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Vitamins and Minerals found in blackcurrants strengthen the immune system and reduce the risk of heart diseases. Here is the recipe.
- 2 small bananas
- 2 tsp. Blackcurrant powder (available here)
- 0,5 tsp. lemon balm
- 300 ml water or coconut water
- 4 soaked dates or 1 tbsp. honey
Blend all the ingredients and enjoy pleasant freshness of lemon balm. Add some coconut shavings on the top of the mixture. Enjoy your drink!
